The wine was aged for 12 months in French and American oak barrels and bottled without
filtration. The wine has a bright red, burgundy color, with dark forest fruit aromas of
cherry and blackberry, with black pepper notes. Upon aerating in the glass, tobacco and
smoky flavors develop. The wine is smooth and superb, and while it is ready to drink, it
will mature further over the next few years.
